Is 4 weeks to soon for next Laser appointment ?

Hello Everyone,

3 weeks ago I had my first Laser Hair Removal (LHR) session. I treated my legs, underarms and genital area.

The Dr who treated me said that the first 3 sessions should be 1 month apart - 4/5 weeks apart - and the last 3 sessions should be 1.5 months to 2.5 months depending on the hair growth.

  1. Aren’t the first 3 sessions too close ?

  2. Will that mean that there won’t be many hairs to “laser-out” and thus I will not be getting the most out of the sessions?

  1. Exactly this. At 3 weeks post treatment you should be nearing the end of shedding. After shedding, you should have a couple of weeks of being more or less hair free until hairs start emerging.

Underarms should be about 8 weeks apart at this stage. Bikini, 8 is okay but 10 is better. Legs should be about 12 weeks apart.
