I have started my ipl on 6.6.07
They are using the ecolite v7 machine.
1st session had done is full legs and full bikini area.
Took approximately 1 hour.
Must admit it was painful, especially the bikini area.
But I would say it’s bearable.
Using aloe Vera 100% to help keep my skin from drying out,
I think using aloe Vera helps.
Having my full arms, under arm and full face done next in 2 weeks time.
Each area will be covered on 4 weekly bases.
Before I started my ilp treatment,
I Google searched for info on ipl,
In my findings they are not enough customer experiences on web.
I am going to regularly post my experience,
Every site I have posted questions asking if they knew of this ecolite v7 machine,
Answer has been NO.
Advise given to me has been do not go for ipl as it is not any good.
I have been advised to go for laser treatment.
Please do not think I am not great full for advice that has been given to me.
But I have decided to go for ipl because it is cheaper and I understand it’s less painful. (I have gone for a package deal)
I think my skin type is 3 or 4 (Asian), I am female, age 37, live in UK.
Hope this post helps others to decide what is best for them.
Others will be able to decide for themselves better after they hear your story from beginning to end. Since this is the beginning of your story, we are anxious to hear about the middle part and the ending, so I do hope you pop in and let us know about your success. I have never heard of this IPL. Do you have any more information about it? Is it new? What company makes it?

good luck on your treatments. my only request is for you to please post that you were advised NOT to go with an IPL machine if (when) your results are not what you expect. you could have read any experiences of anyone who tried any of the IPLs on these forums. we have yet to see a positive one or one where someone got better results with IPL over laser.
the problem we have often is that people not educated on LHR choose to go the cheaper way even when advised otherwise by unbiased professionals on these forums, and then come back here to say that “laser” (when in fact it was a poor IPL machine) doesn’t work. As long as you keep your facts straight and realize what you’re getting into and don’t blame the industry in general afterwards for lack of results, it’s fine.

so far it seems to be working for me.

pls can any one tell me if they is a pen / marker that can be used safley for marking skin were hairs are

using a white or red pencil is best for marking the area.
what percentage reduction are you seeing on each area?
so far i would say 40%.arms/legs 5 sesions
underarms 70/80%
full bikini area had 4 sessions only and have 70% no hair.
just some patchy areas hair comes back.
i think these r areas that have been missed origanaly or hair in sleeping proces etc.
face she is using a head that feels like blowes heat. do not know name for head.
5 sessions done there side burns no hair come back.upper lip still has hair growing back 30%.chin just few hairs 70%.
truely i will only now when i have had all treatmants done.
going for 10 in total.
will post my end results good or bad.
how far apart are the treatments spaced?
first 3 treatmants every 4 wks,
4th treatmant done 5wks.
5th done after 6wks
going again now after 12 wks full arms/face.( but a touch up was done on arms were hair was growing.so u could say 6wks in area were touch up was done. but it was only a small area,note not the whole arm)
each time i am going to make a visit i am going to tell her go over the area were the hair is still dark growing patches.
i feel as if these areas are the ones that have been missed out.
on each visit i have upper part body done
2nd visit have lower part body done.
pls note the settings are incresed each visit.
using 16 bikini. tried 18 and i got burnt. could not tell at time cuz using numbing cream emla.(i dont blame tech cuz i asked her use higher settings)

16/17 arms
face not sure settings.
only use numbing cream on part face/full bikini and underarms only.
WARNING: please all do not use numbing cream on all body as in my reaserch i found it was very dangerause.
people have died due to using to much cream or ended up in casulaty.
I would advise you to keep spacing 8-12 weeks at minimum. 4-6 week intervals are too short and don’t really give you an idea of how much reduction you’re actually getting, as you should not have any hair back yet at that point. shedding only completes at 3-4 week period. then you should expect a hairfree period and should only have enough hair for another treatment at 8-12 weeks.

rubish! did not work,some hair gone, but mostly still there,had least 9 treatmants body parts,face least 18 treatmants.
i persnaly think it has activated hairs more on face.
i say dont bother wasting ur money on ipl.

That’s a shame to hear.
You know? I get the feeling that even the practitioners of IPL know about the uselesness of the machine in many cases and just shorten the time interval between treatments so that everytime there seems less and less hair and the customer keeps paying money for every treatment.
And then when the last treatment is done they have there money so if the customer sees all the hair grow back then, it doesn’t matter to them because they got the money from the package of treatments…
I do think there are a lot of sincere practicioners but I also think a lot of them work like this.
I just can’t understand these kind of things are allowed for such a huge amount of money while one cannot be certain it works…It happes too often for my taste…
are you saying the hair has more or less all grown back after all those treatments. A friend of mine had IPL on legs, upper lip and arms and saw really good results - she has med skin with dark hair the same as me but I am being treated with an alexandrite laser on the bikini. If I am happy with results I will get other areas done too
oh and I forgot to mention that I too saw extra hair on sides of face and neck from laser but it did work well on sideburns and middle of eyebrow - so I do have faith in laser but just on the courser dark hairs and after all the comments on this forum I have steered away from IPL. Electroylisis is the only way forward with the hair on your face, as I am doing. good luck
its activated more hair my opinion on face.
hair than was thinner is more thicker now.
am still going 2 carry on having face done every 2 months.
as with this machine dont ave 2 shave,cream b4 hand.
yeah my face looks gud for up to 6/8 wks then hair reappears.
i refuse 2 pluck hair,cream,shave hair face so az far am conserned ave got no choice.
but do belive my hair face was not that bad wen i started n now ave got used to no hair face and cant stand seeing hair there now.
i do regret having face done.
in 6 months time ill come bak n let u now how the hair is rest body az wont be having no more treatmants done body.
orignaly i was happy legs/bakini etc .
pls take my advise go 4 laser its more perminant results.
money is about the same.
my friend had laser done and her end results r better than mine.
