International ad hoc workshop in Germany?

Just an idea - it might be crazy, it might not be…

… i consider inviting to a workshop of practizing electrologists. My office is located in a startup centre. This location permits me to set up small workshop like meetings with a few participants (a “handfull”) for professional exchange. We have all resouces needed to set up such a workshop: seminar rooms to rent for fair prices (in immediate neighbourship to my office), a kitchen, and a zone for relaxed conversations open to all renters. And i can provide two different epilators to “play” with, among them an Apilus Platinum.

Moreover i am working close to the Rhein-Main-Airport - so transportation is really easy: You can travel by plain, by train, by car and even by ship - if You like to connect it with a ship tour through the rhine valley

My idea of such an event is something informal. Topics should be organized

What Do You think about such an idea?

Beate

Great Idea. Wish I could stop by. If only you were 15 minutes away.

Well, 15 minutes from the airport

That is an excellent idea Beate. If only I could speak German or English.

That’s alright Jossie, I need to brush up on my Spanish anyway.

PS. Beate that is a great idea. It’s hard to have a gathering of people from the same country and even harder from different countries.

But I’ve been part of something similar before in another matter and it’s very worth it.

If You could translate?

BTW: my idea of the main language of such a workshop is English, of course. But we are flexible and in doubt we’ll be able to use our hands and feet… or write down things and send them through a translation engine…

Notadelphin Do you speak Spanish? If so, and you attend as an electrologist or a model, I could launch into the adventure. Exchange experiences and knowledge to improve the quality of our services, Oh la la!!!, if only there were a dozen Beate in my country.

If you plan and organize a 2 or 3 day series of workshops and seminars, I will fly to Germany. I hope the US dollar gets stronger but even if it does not, I would still attend. Please keep me informed.

Thank you.

Arlene,

thank You for Your input. That is actually more than i intended to do - but i am in a stage of brainstorming, and i like the idea. Although it requires A LOT more planning than the ad hoc workshop.

Which means that ideas on possible topics are welcome.

What about planning a few blocks of half-day workshops with plenty of room for discussion and/or actual work ?

WOW!!! That in just over 48 hours will be a reality. How is the weather there Beate?

The weather is said to not too warm but sunny, at least on Monday: http://www.proplanta.de/Agrar-Wetter/Stuttgart-AgrarWetter.html

BTW: if we are lucky we will be able to meet in the rooms of a collegue nearby.
