Hi, my name is Marine and it’s my first post on this forum. First of all, forgive me all the mistakes I might make in English as it’s not my native language. I have a small problem with my electrolysis treatment and would love to hear your advice on it as I feel quite at a loss. Since September 2016 I have been making appointments with my electrologist to treat one ‘devil’ thick, coarse black hair that kept growing on my neck. So far, I have had 4 treatments. I must add here, that this one devil hair has been quite problematic since prior to my eletrolysis treatment, I used to tweeze this hair out for many years and thus created some hyperpigmentation and scarring, sometimes the hair even used to grow inside my skin, yuck. Back to the point though: my electrolysis lady used blend method on the hair, the hair responed to the treatment growing back slowly every 1 or 2 months. Now it’ s a bit different, I noticed that the hair is quite deep under the skin, it appears to be an ingrown hair, when I strech the skin it appears that the small strand of hair is trapped under my skin. I don’t want to tweeze it out knowing that it could result in more hyperpigmentation and I am desperate to heal my poor skin, but I also don’t want to live with an ingrown hair on my neck for whole my life. What should I do? Are there any safe ways to extract it without using tweezers, fingers? Should I make a peel on this spot, or treat it with glycolic acid? Or just leave it alone and it will go on its own (if it’s even possible). I’m in desperate need for your advice, this one hair is ruining my mood and I keep fixating on it Any output would be highly appreciated.
BTW, I should add that, I am sure that I have an ingrown hair, it’s not a tombstone.
Thanks
Marine
