Is there some unbiassed way to assess hairiness and thus hair removal progress?
I know so-called ferriman-gallwey hirsutism score but it’s very biassed assessment (as well as looking through before/after photos).
Therefore density (e.g. hairs per square inch) is the only option?
P.S. Sorry for my English, I’m not native speaker.
How is the Ferriman-Gallwey biased? Metric (hairs per square centimeter) would be more logical. Both Julius Shapiro and Kay Lasker hair grading systems from the 1980s are metric. Kay Lasker’s hair grading system and data collection methodology made it possible for any electrologist to prove scientifically, within their own practice, that probe electrolysis is capable of permanent hair removal. It would be a wonderful contribution to the profession if we had a repository of her work. Through the ravages of time, a flood and multiple moves I have lost all of her material.
