I’ve been having electrolysis for about 5 weeks at a different salon as I was unhappy with the results from my previous electrolysist. The lady has been treating me with the Blend method as she thinks the results are better. I have blonde hairs, which to me look like in between vellus and Terminal hairs…what I mean by that, is they stick out from my chin and cheeks. The question I’m asking is…can low voltage blend and short zaps be effective? I always thought that voltage for blend had to be as high as your pain thresh hold (SP?) and zapped for longer than a couple of seconds. I do feel the hairs coming out most times, and sometimes I feel a tugging plucking sensation. Do you think I’m getting the treatment I’m paying for? I’d appreciate some input thanks, Maxine
Although some feel that tugging is an okay sensation to experience, I think that if you feel too much tugging throughout your treatment, the result will be too much regrowth. Ask your electrologist to visit this website and engage in a dialogue.
In response to your question about whether short zaps with blend works, it does if the current is correct for the hairs. If you do feel a tug and think the hair is being plucked then let her know.
