I recently started electrolysis, everything has been good, I like the guy who does it. The other day I had a bad ingrown hair from my chin. I get cystic acne and normally just leave things, but I had a bad one caused by the ingrown that would not heal. We took it out with a sterile needle but the area didnt get better. I followed the aftercare things that i have read here and from him but it left a linear indented scar. I included the pics here but I can’t make them great quality. I have acne scars but nothing like this it looks like a peace of my skin has come out. Im scared now what can I do

Hard to tell if linear tbh looks sort of like a small hole

You will be fine. Give it time to heal (weeks?). Only one picture was clear enough for me to see. My eye went to all the “blister-like” spots just south of the mark that concerned you. What are those marks all about?

Hi dee :slight_smile: i feel like im talking to a celebrity.! <3 that is just reflection from the flash because i put some aquaphor on it and some polysporin to keep the area nice and clean and protected, so its just how the beads of product are showing up on the camera

how would this be different from how people say that their usual ice pick scars from acne last for years? after we removed the ingrown hair, the spot bled. it didnt form a scab that held even though i didnt touch the area. there was some pus and it has been clean since, just looks like a hole in the skin. The skin doesn’t seem like those typical acne bumps where the spot is swollen and there is a break in the skin. it looks more like the skin is even and there is an indent. the electrolygist was quite wonderful; people come back to him for years and he is very clean, hygienic and takes good care of peoples skin. i am not upset at him but just scared

is there something you recommend please? i read about high concentration urea creams, maybe on this forum and not sure if that would be helpful
