What is the legal age in which you can get electrolysis done w/o a parent/guardian?
Age 18 is considered legal age in the United States, generally speaking. Most 18 year olds I know need the help and cooperation of their parents for laser or electrolysis because of the cost involved, not to mention saftey and transportation issues.
In some states, a “woman” under 18 does not need parental permission to get an abortion, but she needs parental permission for the school nurse to give her Tylenol or the business at the mall to pierce her ears or any other body part. College kids privacy is protected by federal laws and parents who pay those college expenses need their kid’s permission to view their grades or pay that tuition payment online. So these are some examples of why 18 is the magic number in the US, in most states. I personally would not work on anyone under 18 if the parents were not involved because we live under the rule of a “sue anything that moves out there” society.
Are you younger than 18 and do you care to elaborate on why you are asking this question?
I was just wondering because I just wanted to get my eyebrows done in the future. Could you give me a rough estimate on eyebrows?
You to have a face to face consult with several electrologists. Cost is dependent on many things from practitioner skill and equipment used to client compliance and amount of hair.
