Hello there, this is my first post, i have been getting electrolysis treatments for 8 months at Vancouver Electrolysis Centre and i have some concerns. I have read that you should not feel the insertion of the needle and you should not feel the hair being pulled out and i have been feeling both, and my electrologist has also been plucking several hairs after just one charge. I need to know if this is wrong.
Well…what you read is true, but a few insertions felt here and there may happen. May I ask if you have seen improvement after eight months.
I have seen improvement. But it is not a rare thing, it is almost every insertion. And then there are the several tweezes after just one charge, 3 or 4 other hairs in the surrounding area are plucked.
Is it normal to see scabbing after treatment?
Thank you for responding, i really appreciate the help.
Let’s firm up some things. You should not feel the same feeling as you would if you plucked a hair out on your own. That is the feeling you would expect with no treatment energy having been applied. It is not out of the realm of possibility that you may feel the hair pop out of the skin, due to a possibility that the larger bulge area must be pulled through the tighter, undamaged upper hair shaft.
Although scabs are not outside of the realm of possibility, many people get treatments without having scabs as a regularly occurring post treatment manifestation.
While any practitioner worth her or his salt should be able to make an insertion without the client feeling it, many practitioners are so fast on the insertion to treatment energy timing that they would seem to be simultaneous.
I just plucked a couple of hairs in the areas I have had treatment and it is the same sensation I have during treatments, could this be a sign that the charge is not strong enough? because i am 80% certain that the tug i feel is from the plucking and not the bulb. I would be more inclined to believe that i maybe sensitive and the trouble could be on my end but the several plucks worry me, those hairs or not being treated, they are just being plucked. i would feel one charge, and then that hair would be tugged out and then surround hairs would be plucked too. I think i will go with my instincts and get treatments elsewhere.
thank you very much for the response and for the help.
Yes, that could be the case. Have you discussed your concerns with your practitioner?
