I need some help here

Hi, this is my first post here. i have a problem. i did few waxes and noticed that some of the hair has fully grown inside the skin. there are no bumps or redness it’s just under the skin. is this what we call “ingrown hair”?
what is the best treatment for that?

comment: I posted this question on the consumer beware msg board and no one has answered it! i mean jesus they have anything to say about almost everything. when someone is posting a sci-fi tell about genetic therapy all the moderators have a comment but this LEGITIMATE question has got none. I’m really upset because of this. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

menni,

Try taking a look over in “Tips for Skin Care” (click on “Main Index”). You’ll probably find what you are looking for!

Couldnt find anything. thanks anyway

HI, Regualr exfoliation using a spa massage glove or loofah is recommended. A new layer of dead skin forms every 24 hrs adn that is how those softer hairs get trapped underneath. After exfoliating try hydrating the area with a water based non-comodeogenic( non pore clogging) lition.
And you might consider trying body sugaring with the hand paste technique next time. The hairs are extracted in the natural direction of growth causing less ingrown issues while the top dead cell layers of skin are also exfoliated off in the treatment. It is a safe, gentle way of reducing your hair growth and having soft skin to boot. It has no strips and the technique is learned in a classroom so the estheticians that will do a good job will be certified by a company in this.Go to simplysugar.biz and they will help you find someone in your area to have a treatment with…

Do you really recommend a loofah!! Haven’t you heard that loofah’s hold a ton of germs? It’s a great environment for bacteria to thrive. If you recommend them, how do you control the germ population?
