I made a first appointment!!!

I finally made an appointment! I was kind of embarassed to call but i said the heck with it and called Mary in Beverly Hills. I called Tina twice and left 2 msgs but she haven’t called me back so I just called Mary instead. The person on the phone was very nice and said I will only need about 30 minutes to have my eyebrows done. I’m 20/male btw.

thanks for Lisa and everyone here being so helpful. I will post results soon.

ps. they told me I might need soothing creme they sell, do i need it? i’m not really sensitive…

just wanted to point out that Tina returns all calls the same day usually. she’s very punctual and consistent in terms of that. she even calls the day before the appt to confirm every time. She was out of town on vacation for the past 2 weeks and just got back. That is probably the reason you haven’t received a call back yet.

I would recommend still scheduling a few treatments to compare electrologists. try this one and then another for your next treatment. yes, it won’t take longer than 30 mins this time, but I hope you understand that permanent removal involves coming in consistently for 9-12 months, not just one treatment.

9-12 monthes?!?!

have you done research on how permanent hair removal and electrolysis works? Hair grows in several stages. One treatment will get the hair that’s currenly there, but you will need to come in when NEW DORMANT hair surfaces to kill those hairs. Hair cycles fluctuate over a period of time, so that’s why complete removal where nothing is coming in anymore takes at least 9-12 months. Of course, you’ll always be looking like you don’t have hair, since you’re consistently killing new growth throughout this time. But this isn’t a one treatment kind of process. That would be nice, wouldn’t it? Don’t you think everyone would be doing it if it only took one $30 treatment to get rid of hair permanently instead of spending money on waxing forever? Unfortunately, technology is not yet up the level where hair cycles don’t matter.

and no, you don’t need any creams if the area is fine after the treatment. just use witch hazel and/or tea tree oil for a few days afterwards on the area to help it heal.
