I finally got a consultation/appointment

After weeks of just trying to get an appointment with an electrologist, I finally got a consultation/appointment. She was really nice. She actually gave me 15 minutes worth of free treatment. She agreed to do a couple of areas I wanted done but she seems hesitant to do any larger areas. I’m going to be getting my face, stomach, and chest done. I want more but like I said she seems reluctant. Oh well, at least I can get these areas done. The treatment wasn’t painful. I thought it would hurt a lot. It felt like sticking a toothpick against my face. She’s also an eyebrow specialist and is going to totally reshape my eyebrows for me

It seems that not too many electrologists like to do large areas. Large areas require longer appointments, which can be taxing on the electrologists’ back and neck, so many don’t like to do sessions beyond an hour. If an hour session is done at a time, it is hard to get a first, full clearance for a large area. Frustrating too for both client and electrologist.

Doing longer appointments require a good vision and ergonomic setup. I did a five hour appointment today and feel fine, however, the treadmill awaits me! Do you feel comfortable asking her why she seems hesitant to do larger areas? Are you a good candidate for lasing these larger areas first and then finishing with electrolysis?

I haven’t asked her why she’s hesitant about the larger areas. I had my first one hour session and it wasn’t enough to do a full clearance. She spent a lot of time on my eyebrow area since she is reshaping them but its ok. I scheduled a longer session and now I know it would take at least 2-3 hours for what I want done. I’m currently doing laser in the other areas that I want. It’s not working too well in those areas that’s why I wanted electrolysis done. I think the hairs are too thin. But its funny cause certain lasers do my thin hairs just fine. I’ve had IPL in the past and that worked great for thin hair. Even the alexandrite laser got the fine hairs in my upper lip.
