I feel lost...

Ok so I had recently got a clearing on facial area of all bothersome noticeable hairs, and it’s made a difference, although I still see some left over, it’s 80% better than what it was.
Anyways, I traveled a bit to get this clearing and am now looking for someone closer to home to maintain it. I went to one electrologist who claims that she can’t rid the blond vellus hairs because the root isn’t developed yet. But the blond hairs I have aren’t really vellus, they’re longer but fine. So I want those blended better, because I still look pretty furry in the light lol…
Is this true, I thought electrolysis can remove any and all hairs?

Also I asked her if it was possible to do other large areas, ie. back and stomach, and she said its really impossible to do such a large area and to stick to laser for that. But my stomach and back have such fine DARK hairs, laser won’t pick it up, because I can’t even see the hairs but upclose and if you touch it you can.

Would it be possible to do a minor clearing in these areas and then slowly maintain it? Am I just reaching for the stars here?

Electrolysis works on any hair. I don’t understand her comment. IF she can’t see those hairs, then she can’t treat them. Visual aid is needed and if she hasn’t invested in good magnification, then you will remain frustrated for the smaller hair structures that you want removed.

She’s not interested in doing larger areas. Laser won’t work for fine dark hairs most likely, so you need to find an electrologist with energy and a “can do” attitude, that has a better set up, equipment-wise. Sorry. This is frustrating to hear.

Ya I was a little bit sad when she was saying that, I felt hopeless…I just want to feel feminine and it felt like she shot my dreams down lol

I am considering electrolysis on pretty much most of my body, I’m doing face/neck area now…I want to move to chest bone/breasts, stomach and back and bum
That I know will take time, but I’m willing to do it!

Do you think I’m crazy lol? Its so hard to find someone in Toronto with good equipment, magnification, skill, accuracy etc…I had to travel to find that, but I cant do that every week…errr…so frustrated =(

You don’t really need to do it every week. Let it grow for 4 weeks, travel and clear. Repeat 18 times.

Every day I am thankful for the fact my electrologist is 2 minutes from my house.

Ah! Bryce! You are the coolest. Always clear and precise.

Honestly, how many electrologists have you interviewed? I would think that Toronto has many well-qualified electrologists.

Re desperate 18, I think you could do a lot better finding someone else. Her lack of knowledge and interest would have been very dissapointing, but you may have had a lucky escape, perhaps her treatment may have also been dissapointing. I hope you have more practitioners to choose from in your area.

I’ve tested about 7 so far in Toronto, some of which were just spoken to by phone, and through that I found that I knew they weren’t very knowledgeable. The way they described electrolysis was so different from what was described here and through other people. Some of which had outdated machines or very poor magnification. It’s hard to find someone who uses a microscope or microscopic lenses. Some of which I went to were sooo SLOW, some of which felt like they were plucking the hairs out, and left me pretty scabby.

I only had luck when I traveled, and I’m happy I made that decision.
I have another consult on Saturday, which I’m hoping works out, she seems so informative over the phone, so I’m excited to see her work. She said I can speak with a client also, which made me feel less nervous. I hope this one works out, I can’t believe how hard it is to find someone who is good in Toronto, you would think in such a big city it would be easy to find. I’m not looking for “the best” because I wouldn’t even know how to identify someone as that, but I want to feel comfortable with the person, and especially because I’m going to be with them for quite some time, I want to know that they want to help me, and no just think of me as disposable after I’m done. Its a relationship you build with a person when spending so much time with them, so I don’t mean to sound picky, but that’s why I’m looking so hard to find someone who I know I can trust.
