hyper pigmentation

Dear all,

I have been going to my electrologist for my genital area for 3 times now…So far I am positive about the results BUT there is one thing.

I am half caucasian, half Algerian so I have a light tan…But my genital area is darker…
What I noticed is that on the area’s treated little hyperpigmentated spots apear…
I am not really concerned about this but at some places hairs that weren’t in the growth face grow back so she has to treat them again…
Am I in danger of over treating that area if she has to go over the pigmentated spots again?
Because I really don’t want to stop the treatments…
Is there something I could do about it?
And is there someone that has experience with treating an area multiple times that has pigmentation?
She is using blend by the way…And I’ve got the feeling that the ‘thermolysis-part’ of blend is causing the pigmentation…Is that a plausible thought?

In your case, the pigmentation could possibly happen no matter what was being used. Melanin is a part of the immune system response and since I think I can safely guess you are not a nudist, I can speculate that one can’t keep the area as moisture free after treatment, due to the wearing of underwear and clothing. Both the trapped salty moisture from the sweat, and the friction from the undergarments would increase the incidence of scabbing, and thus increase the temporary pigmentation noticeable in this area.

Fear not, all should fade in about in a matter of weeks, or at the outside 3 months or less after your last treatment.
