Ok, here is the picture from their web site where they toute how wonderful their treatment is:
I will only say that if one of my clients ever walked out of my place looking like this, I would hear about it, and so would all of you! As fine as these hairs are, they qualify as accellerated vellus, a very low setting in pico or microflash would make short work of them, and the redness would subside in a matter of an hour or 3 for so few hairs.
These people are talking about excision of the entire follicle with anesthesia as a part of the process. Seriously folks, I could do it faster, cheaper, and with a lot less skin reaction. They also make the claim that electrolysis would require multiple treatments and their process doesn’t. This is a cunnard, as the next phase of hairs will come to this area in no more than 3 months and the person will have to have treatment again.
Color me unempressed :tired:
I agree James.
The incredulous thing to me is that some of those hair transplant surgeons have over the past few years submitted incredible pictures of their patients who had their beard hair (and other body hair) moved to their scalps to grow hair in bald spots. Besides the uniqueness of that concept, the interesting thing for me was that none of these patients had any permanent scarring on their beard areas or body areas where the hair was permanently removed from.
If done properly, and the post treatment care is good, the excised follicle space fills in and is not noticeable. On the other hand, one can’t argue that excision is a much more invasive procedure than well performed electrolysis with modern equipment.
Of course, if I hear one more client ask me if I can take it from the beard and put it on the head… well, you know.
Has anybody ever tried this? Doesn’t seem to be promising but who knows. If it permanently removed the hair follicle and it guaranteed no hair would ever grow again I wouldn’t really care about the irritation too much. I’m not holding my breath though. Maybe I’ll try it when I go bald lol
Again, the problem here is just that it seems to be saying that it is superior to electrolysis, which requires one to believe that electrolysis can’t kill a hair in one zap, and that spending more money per hair is the answer, when that technique also leaves such pits in the skin for however long it takes for that excision to heal. Unless one is transfering beard hairs to the scalp, this techinque is run rings around by electrolysis, when performed by a competent professional using modern equipment.
I went to the link:
“The electrolysis is electrocution. It can kill the cells around the hair, under the skin. It is easier for the body to heal a small incision, especially on the beard, where the skin has laxity.”
I wonder where they got the idea that an incision is easier on the body than electrolysis??? Of course - they are promoting replanting the hairs, right???
