How To Set Up Machine

I bought a machine a few months ago from a woman who was selling her equipment. I bought a Fischer SE-4. I hadn’t gotten the chance to start setting it up until recently, though. I bought The Blend Method by Michael Bono and have started reading it.

My question is:

Is there a website or book that has step by step instructions on how to set up the machine itself? I just want to make sure that I do it right and I don’t see anywehere in the book that goes through the exact set up methods.

Thank you.

I forgot to mention that I bought the machine as well as all the cords. I am under the assumption that all I need to buy now are needles. I think I will use the “Auto” function since it will probably be easiest for me.

So how do I set up the machine? For “Auto”, do I just need the probe with needle plugged into the machine (right under the thermolysis knob) and the + (red) cord with metal rod for the ground? What are all the other cords and other pieces for?

Is there a diagram somewhere of what all the pieces are and where they go and what they are for?

Thanks.

If I remember right, the last chapter (of the 2nd edition) of the Bono book discusses epilator controls and setup, or you might have to order a manual from Fischer (http://www.rafischer.com)

Yes, the probeholder plugs into the jack under the thermolysis knob, the red cord into the red jack and the ground into the other end of the red cord. The black cord and metal roller is used for cataphoresis, which some use after treatment to soothe the skin; the Bono book discusses how it works. You only need the red cord and ground plugged in to do galvanic electrolysis.

One thing odd about this epilator is that it apparently does not have a timer for galvanic or blend (it only goes to 2 seconds and it marked for thermolysis.) One has to guess how long the galvanic current has been running, or judge by how the skin is reacting, or am I reading this wrong?

I went on the Fischer website and can’t find a manual. Maybe I’m not searching right?

I have the “New Edition” of the Bono book. The last chapter is “Epilator Test”.

I basically just want to know what all these parts are (cords and pieces) and how to set up the machine.

For auto, wouldn’t you just plug the machine into the wall, plug the probe cord into the machine (should only fit into one hole), plug the metal rod cord into the positive (red), have the patient hold the rod, turn on and then go to work?

No idea what the other pieces are.

Found this generic picture. The black cord represents the probe with needle cord. The meter isn’t a separate machine, so there would be only 1 red cord.

For auto, wouldn’t you not need any of the other items? Just the machine, two cords and a patient?

As stated in the other thread where you asked about it, you can get the manual for the machine direct from The Unified Fischer/Hinkle company. If you call them, they will email you the PDF or ship you a hard copy.

Yes, you should be able to do work on autosensor with only the redwire and pole on one end, and the probe holder on the other. Just make sure that the auto-sensor delay countdown is set to something that is long enough for you to get the probe into place inside the follicle, but not so long that you have to wait for the treatment energy. (Would anyone mind if I brag that mine is set for 0.2 or 0.3 most of the time? )

Auto-sensor is built into the epilator. You just have to enable, choose the timing with a push of a button and have the client hold the indifferent eletrode.
