How to prevent tanning for laser treatments

Since 6-8 laser treatments would take over a year, I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to prevent from tanning through the course of treatments.

It would be hard to stay out of the sun for over a year (mowing the lawn, going to the pool once in awhile during hair free period, etc) so would using a high spf sunblock do the trick? Does sunblock just keep you from burning or does it keep you from tanning too? Are there any special lotions or sprays made to keep your skin from tanning?

I plan on doing gentlelase treatments…I think I’m about a type I to type II skin type on most of my body but my forearms could be a type III from all the sun it gets…I want to keep as pale as possible to get the most out of the treatments.

Thanks.

Definitely use sublock. They even make SPF 70 nowdays. Wear long sleeves when possible and not too hot. Cotton fabrics should help. At least do this when you’re in the sun for an extended period of time.
