How Much Do You Charge?

All the professionals here, how much do you charge per 15 mins or per hour for electrolysis? Wondering if I can make a trip to you. Dfahey, James etc.?

My minimum charge is $20, and 15 minutes would fall under that. A minimum charge is really for those that are “finished” and need a few hairs removed that pop through occassionally or it is for those that want test patches. You will never get anywhere if you are just starting and want to do this 15 minutes at a time for a lot of hair. Very frustrating. When money is lacking from the hair removal equation, then, ideally, it is better to save and wait. I guess the only advantage of doing 15 minute appointments would be that it will make you feel better in as much that it would boost your spirits and make you feel that something at last is being done to remove the hair.

James and I live across the pond. I don’t think seeing either of us is doable for you, ihavehair. I have been following your private messages and understand how emotional and overwhelming this is for you . Either of us would feel great privilege to help you, but you are so far away. There are good electrologists in the United Kingdom, I’m sure. Work on being stronger and keep searching and talking to all your local talent. You have a lot of support from your fellow Brits as I have seen and I’m sure this is helpful for you as well.

Someday you will have this resolved. Just go inch by inch with a good plan and be very patient.

Love,

Dee

Thank you Dee

I was actually talking with my dad and he was saying we might go abroad somewhere soon during April (so my first thought was, Dfahey! James!) to get 2-in-1. Lol. But I do understand.

I think I want reduction first, then later work at clearance but for example, the longer, darker hairs on my face (I don’t have any coarse hair which is good, in that area) but from others I assumed long appointments wouldn’t be good with that electrologist? I think I will need to talk about it with stoppit again, but the reason for asking for 15 mins is because I divide the timings by that to work out who is cheapest. I have some more questions but I’ll start a new topic for it.

The price of the time you must consider the speed with which the hairs are treated. For example a professional who charges 60 euros per hour and only made 300 insertions, which cost far more to a professional that charges 80 euros per hour and make 1000 or 1300 insertions.

The ideal is 60 euros per hour and 1300 insertions body areas. 600 inserts for face does not seem a bad beat.

Cost is often more expensive in large cities where rents are much higher, and cheaper in smaller towns, and where people work frem home. However, the speed and accuracy of the electrologist is what saves the client the most money,as Josefas previous post states. Work that is only 20% accurate will require 5 times more treatments ,and if slower will require a lot more hours. This is whythe importance of sampling several electrologists can not be over emphasised. Make comparisons and save!!

Exactly Christine, skill and professional ethics are the keys to save!!

With 300 insertions per hour, this would cost: 240 euros

With 1200 insertions per hour, cost: 60 euros

60 euros = 75% permanent hair removal in this leg.

Results after the first clearance,(1 hour of Electrolysis) and 9 months later (without Electrolysis).

Hey all,
Just wated to mention that i DID make the trip to get treated by James…Yeapp, drove 6 hours to get to Buffalo and james worked on me for around 8 hours. He truly is a master at his work, although sometimes it hurt like a b***h, but its just my sensitive skin, lol.
Thanks james.

khiz, any pictures for us?

James was born to be a WINNER!!!, like Fernando Alonso.

CONGRATULATIONS to both!!!

It makes most sense to get at least 1 hour of treatments or a session of at least 4 hours at a time for a large area with lots of hair. If you’re being treated for under an hour, you’ll be paying more per minute.
