How many weeks between treatments for legs?

Hi there!

I just had my first laser hair removal treatment on my legs. I have Type II skin and am using the Candela GentleLase alex laser.

The practitioner had me set my next appointment for 4 weeks later. But from what I’ve read here and on Candela’s treatment guidelines, legs should be treated 8-12 weeks apart.

What’s the value of waiting longer between treatments? Should I reschedule my appointment for later? Please advise. Thanks!

Go when there’s enough hair (typically around 12 weeks). There’s no way 4 weeks will be long enough unless they’re just touching up missed spots.
