Unfortunately like probably many of you on this website I am very hairy, and have been very unhappy about this all my life. I now have now managed to ‘pluck’ up the courage to get laser treatment, which is costing me a fortune! I have had three treatments so far, but hardly any difference, how long should it take before the hairs fall out after each treatment, as this time after my last treatment, they still seem to be growing. I am so tempted to remove them as I can’t satnd my boyfriend seeing me with the growth as he doesn’t know. I have tried pulling them but they seem to be quite tough still could it be this hasn’t worked thgis time.
chances are your bf already knows and chooses not to care. i would talk to him and figure that part out, so you can attack the problem with his support instead of feeling like you have to hide it.
You can still shave the areas being treated. I have read (and been told by my tech) that by not shaving after treatments will help you shed better. By better, I mean, there is less chance of pepperspots and the hair may shed more quickly b/c there is friction. I didn’t have a problem with pepperspots when I shaved after my first and second treatment, but my settings were so low, it is hard to judge.
BUT everything I have read has said that it is okay to shave, so if it makes you more comfortable, try that.
As far as shedding. I seem to start shedding 8 days after the treatment. Most of the shedding is complete within two weeks, but I have seen some hair remain for longer periods.
