How long did it take to reach permanent clearance?

This is a question for people who’ve had electrolysis and completely cleared an area to the point that you feel “done” or only get occasional touchups once a month or so.

If you could please provide me with the area you had treated and either the estimated number of hours it took or the length of time and frequency of visits (i.e. 5 years going for one hour weekly or whathaveyou), I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Approximately 2 years : every three weeks and second year every month for the lips (relatively fine hairs, never shaved or wax just some plucks). And I have to go now every two month for touchups.

I’ve had the chin (goatee like) area treated for about 9 months, @1 hour a week,I’d say the total time was 36 hours but I wasn’t finished after that time, I went on to DIY daily for about 6 months. I still get the odd hair every few weeks /months that I treat meself.

I read so much on here from people saying they’ve been having treatment for months /years but they don’t say how many hours they’ve had, they could be going for 50 years but only had 5 hours of treatment. It’s the amount hours that matter.

Some areas get done quicker than others. For example,I had some work done on my hairline, and I think it took about 3 hours total over a year or so to get done completely. I haven’t touched the area in 10 years and it’s still just as clear. My upper lip, however, took longer and I still occasionally get a new hair that I have zapped once a year or so depending on hormonal changes. It’s hard to say total number of visits as I’ve had so many areas treated. If you get an area cleared every time you go in, you will find (as I did) that one day you look and find there simply isn’t any more hair to remove. Well before that time, though, the treatment length will greatly decrease. I used to get hour long sessions on my lip, but last time I had it treated we took 30 seconds to zap two hairs before going to work on my bikini line.

Full male Brazilian.one hour every two weeks for about 2 years. I still go every 2 weeks, we are spreading the area from belt line down to mid thigh. I’m hooked! lol. I absolutely love being hair free down there.

If you haven’t seen it already, my latest post has a full table of hours and even a graph showing how the amount of time to clear decreases over time.

I’m at 2 years and it currently takes me about 45 minutes for a full clearance 7 weeks since the last clearance.

SoCalPurr THANK YOU for pointing this out, I never saw it for some reason when you posted. This is the most comprehensive demonstration of the process I clumsily try explain during every consultation!
