How far up my arm is safe?

Hi.
I’m planning on getting my arms done. Covering my forearms and stopping at the bottom of my triceps and following the shape around the back of the arm.

Should i be worried about triggering growth that far up my arm?

thanks

I have heard that hair can be stimulated in vulnerable areas that are adjacent to where the work is being done, but you can ice those areas that you are worried about while having laser.

OK, after reading the large thread on here regarding induce hair growth, i thought i would add to this here post.

After seeing good results on my legs, i want to now get my arms done. My worry is how far i can go safely up my arms.

Here are some pics of the back of my arm. (god they look so much worse than with the naked eye!)

MY plan is to go up to the bottom of tricep (basically where a t-shirt would end)

Past this point the hair is finer and i wouldnt want to risk going higher than this anyway.

So, considering my skin is very pale and the hair is black, can some experts please pass comment on the risks.

Is IHG more of a risk when there is no hair in the surrounding areas? As i already have a moderate amount higher up my arm, just not as much as the rest.

This is a real head ache for me, as my arms really do affect my life, and i NEVER wear t shirts out and about. But i know i wont be able to keep it a secret once i get them done (unlike my legs) and i jus dont want everyone knowing about it.

I feel like dissapearing for a year or so, until i have some finer regrowth after treatments…

Based on the pictures, I do not think that you will have IHG issues on your upper arms. T-Shirt treatment should be OK. What laser will they be using on you ??? You need a large spot size with high energy.

I would be using a Gentlelase. Probably 18mm and 18j.

Thats what was used on my legs. The nurse wouldn’t go to 20j, despite my request, due to fear of burning.

Do you think i should push for 20 joules?

Thank you.

Stick with 18 Joules but have the nurse do a patch at 20 Joules as well.
