How does this look?

Hello, I’ve been reading here for a while, I finally made an appointment, now I would like some opinions please…

my site is: http://electrolysisphotos.tumblr.com/

password: hairtell

what type of electrolysis are you having done? Blend? Diathermy?

Small pustules happen quite frequently.Beyond that I don’t see a question. As they have already healed…you should be aware of your bodies healing process in this regard. It’s possible s one of the pros will suggest slightly lesser ssettings, but then again maybe not.Seems like it’s working and you have an idea of how healing will go.Also, I’m only seeing maybe a dozen tops pustules…and I’m assuming you had more than that treated? So it doesn’t seem to be every hair as you suggest.Learn to relax and trust your electrolysist. If you have concerns, it’s ok to ask here but communicating with them shoUlf also happen. The more you communicate with your electrolysis the more they can help you.

This looks like over treatment. This can be avoided, just talk to your electrologist.

Thank you Dee for clarifying, I wasnt sure so wasnt going to say so. I should point out that overtreatment sometimes includes too many hairs in close proximity, not necessarily just too high a setting as my other post may have suggested but also too may treated in a single area.Sometimes if you treat too many in a single area they overlap and this contributes to that I think.
In any event as dee stated, talk to your electrolysist about it.

OK, thank you for your comments.

I posted another photo today. It’s a clearer picture, but still not great as I still only have my iPod.

I’m having diathermy. I had a pustule come up whilst I was being treated and my electrologist said that it was because that hair was very thick, the root was large. Later the rest of the pustules came up, it’s not very clear at all but you can see it best close up in the 4th photo of my first post. I count about 27 pustules, including the little ones, haha. That’s probably around the number of hairs I had done. Some more hairs are surfacing now. I think it may have been harder to get some of the thicker hairs out after she reduced the settings because I felt some tugging with tweezers, which I didn’t feel at all at the test patch.

Yes, I’ll talk to her when I go next time. She was concerned herself the week after my test patch. I wasn’t too bothered, but because she said that it can happen but wasn’t a normal reaction and she was upset about it, I worried. I do feel pretty self conscious at the moment, I have very white skin which you can’t really tell on the photos, so it shows up more. I have some clearish-yellowish crusting today kinda covering the marks so that kinda helps. If the red marks go away, it’s OK. Hopefully in a few weeks…

Like I said, she already adjusted the settings, and she gave me a cream to use, and didn’t do some finer dark hairs because she didn’t want to over treat the area. It still happened, so it’s likely she’ll adjust it again. She mentioned something about blend but seemed to prefer diathermy, saying it was quicker. I think she was concerned about the cost for me (recent Uni graduate, currently unemployed).

Also, I told her at the consultation that when I was little I seem to remember being told I should only wear gold earrings. Maybe I’m allergic and this can cause more of a reaction? I’ll see what she says when we talk next time.

Thank you all again for responding.

I get pustules all the time after treatment. One thing I really like is called Clindamycin Phosphate (It used to be called Evoclin, but I can’t remember if it still is.) It’s prescription but it’s generic so it’s about $10, and it comes in a foam. It can dry out the skin a bit, but it works really well. I’m sure your dermatologist will write you a prescription for it if you ask him/her.

My electrologist suggests to apply hydrogen peroxide 3 times in a 24 hour period, but I’ve never done that
