I have areas with dense fine hair growth that I want to work on like the line in the middle of my stomach to my belly button, my lower back, and my butt. I don’t want to make the areas bald but to make them look the same as nearby areas that have normal hair growth instead of dense. What is the best way to do this with electrolysis in terms of cost, time, and end appearance? Shave and clear the area completely or let it all grow out and only target the most noticeable hairs?
Also I was wondering about arms. I’m getting sick of bleaching them and I have so much hair anyway. Do most women get all the hair taken off, or just enough so the hair isn’t noticeable? I have dense dark hair and light olive skin. I’m not sure a completely bare look would look good on the arms.
I’ve had the stomach area treated. I just went in and cleared as much as possible at a time, mostly concentrating on the darker and longer more prominent hairs. After a while, once those are gone, the others start to seem more prominent. So then I targeted those etc. This went on for about 1.5 years until I was satisfied with the reduction. I only have very little natural looking short vellus growth left and it looks pretty even and natural. And when I’m tanned (I’m pretty pale naturally), you can’t even see it at all.
So if I did my stomach, I could let it all grow out so the electrologist could tell which hairs to remove, but those hairs might not be in the right growth stage by then. Or I could shave and the electrologist could target the biggest hairs? And same with my arms? Since I bleach my arms now, I can see that a bunch of them aren’t in the growing stage.
