How close does the shave have to be?

I am now 31 hours away from the treatment and just tried to shave my butt crack and I can tell you it was horrible! I was close to freaking out! The problem is that directly in the middle there are hairs which are totally hard to reach with the razor. I tried everything but I simply couldn’t get a really close shave where you don’t feel the hair anymore. It worked all the way around the middle but directly in the middle there are stubbles.
Will it not work now? I read that the hair should be 0,5 millimetres when you use the alexandrite laser and I’m afraid that since I can feel some stubbles they are definitely longer than 0,5 mm. I don’t know how 0,5mm feels. Do you even feel 0,5mm? Or does 0,5 mm mean that the skin is totally smooth?
What shall I do now? Shall I simply try to shave the area again tomorrow (which would be around 20 hours before the treatment) to make sure that the hair at least do not grow much more until the treatment or shall I simply leave it this way?
I really tried everything. I shaved in all directions but it didn’t work and the skin already got sore so I decided to stop.
I hope that I will not get any irritations because I also cut myself a few times. I put some stuff on the skin to disinfect it.
This is really stupid. I didn’t even think that this might become a problem. But what do you do if you shave and then get razor bumps or infections? Does this mean that the area cannot be lasered? But what if this happens every time you shave it?

You’re worrying too much about something that’s not that important  The clinic will clip the hairs if there is too much left. you’ll be fine. Put some cortisone on it overnight.

in the future, i suggest shaving a few days before the treatment.

Okay, thanks.

But I read that you should shave 1-2 days before it. Can you also shave more than 2 days before it or will the hair then be too long?

2 days should be fine. it depends on how fast YOUR hair grows in that particular area. just a bit of stubble is fine.

Ok.

But after the hair has been lasered the stubbles should be gone right? I mean if there should still be stubbles feelable then this would prove that these areas have not been lasered, right?
As far as I understand it the laser burns off all the hair and afterwards everything should be smooth.

Did a center actually tell you to leave the hair 0.5 mm short?

No, they gave me a paper with infos and it said to shave 1-2 days before. The letter said 1mm. Another source said 0,5 but since I don’t know how fast my hair grows and since I have to shave anyway it doesn’t even matter. I mean I shaved 30 hours before the treatment that’s within the recommended time frame of 1-2 days. It didn’t say how close you have to shave but I assume that when it says shave they mean a close shave.

after the treatment, you might still have some stubble. then it grows out and falls out in 3 weeks.

Ok.
