Hi Eroca:
You may want to read my reply under the other recent topic on spironolactone.
I think that being cautious is one thing, but accidental pregnancies can happen. Take the utmost in precautions and keep careful watch on it.

im not sexually active so the pregnancy thing doesn’t really affect me, but even if i were wouldn’t it be fine if i got the morning after pill to stop any thing from happening…? i am just concerned b/c i asked my endochronolgist if it was dangerous in any way and he told me no and i said do you promise and he said yes, you are perfectly safe and im on 50mg pill one a day, i don’t want to be mislead so i don’t really know where to go from here…? thanks alicia darling for writing me back each and every time i really do appreciate it!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Hi Eroca:
I am on 200 mg/day. I am fortunate that I can’t get pregnant.
I don’t see anything wrong with taking a morning after pill if you don’t want to get pregnant and you feel there is a chance.
I am thinking that 50 mg/day is a fairly low dose, so maybe your endrocrinologist is right.
I have to get blood tests every 3 months, and I think they check my potassium levels at the same time.
