well, this is not me, but the shadow is like mine…but it also seems a little red like this. what do you suggest? do you think a dermatologist or an electrologist or both would be of help to me?

sorry follow this link:

I’m not sure what you’re asking, but yes, getting rid of the hair will help with looking like you have a shadow or any other side effects of having hair.

A skilled electrologist can help you the most. My faith in dermatologist’s suggesting electrolysis (the final solution) over laser is a little diminished at the present time. It appears that a good portion of doctor’s promote laser for hair “removal”, which is not always the best option for people like yourself.

Dee

Your hair appears blond. If you are naturally blond then electrolysis is your only option.

This not a picture of Aime. Right,Aime? I’m a little confused. Can you submit a picture of yourself?

here’s a pic of me…although this camera does’nt actually show you the shadow the hair makes when im in the sun…only my camera phone can really give you the best pic of the full problem, but i dont have the hookup for that yet.

my concern is the red will never go away.

Gosh, aime. I really don’t see anything out of the ordinary, sorry to say. I’m not doubting your concerns, but I just can’t see much.

Since you say you have redness all the time, have you been checked out for something called roseaca?

If you want any coarse hair removed, then definitly, a SKILLED electrologist with good tools can help you. For the redness mystery, perhaps a dermatologist can be helpful.

Waxing twice, shouldn’t be the culprit, but I should ask, how long ago did you last wax and what specific areas were waxed?

Dee

my face was waxed and like i said you’d have to see a pic from my camera phone to really see what i see, in the sunlight the hair shadow is really noticeable.

i went to the dermatologist and she said either roseacea or melonomia? but if you look at a guys face it’s basically like that…so does the guy in the pic link have those two? probably not…hypothetically, if i were him above and got electrolysis would it take the redness away?

i know im confusing, but it looks like the same scenario.

where you see redness around my mouth in the pic, i’d say the hairs are pretty fine, so can electrolyogist see those fine ones and get rid of them and the redness/shadow shown?

Electrolysis can permanently get rid of any size hair, any color of hair on any skin color.

I can not diagnose any skin problem you may be having, you’ll have to maintain close communication with the dermatologist.

Melanoma?? I’m thinking you heard another word. If you are fair-skinned especially, she may have been warning you to avoid the sun and tanning booths.

Was your face normal color before you waxed two times? How long ago did you wax?

Dee

that’s what the dermatologist said, but i dont think so.

b4 i waxed it i noticed from pictures in my camera phone the discoloration over my mouth and stupid me thought if i pulled the hair out from its root it would disappear with the hair, but now it seems much worse and noticeable.

I would check into getting a consultation with an electrologist where he or she could see you up close.

You’re saying the redness was there before you waxed. How thick are your hairs? what color? how many?

When did you last wax your upper lip? Did you wax any other areas on your face?
