Hi there. I am an electrologist in a state with no licensing. I have to get a Delaware license for a future move, and so am driving down to take the practical exam for their state license. Because I’m doing this on my own, though, there is little clarity on how things work. Different state’s exams seem to follow the same outline (the NIC Practical Exam outline), so I’m asking for tips from anyone!
- Does anyone have tips for the exam? Things to watch out for, or common things they try to fail people on?
- How strict were your examiners?
- Do you know if your particular state exam followed the NIC Outline?
I find it kinda frustrating honestly how many things I’m supposed to bring. Somehow I’m supposed to drive all the way to Delaware with my entire mag lamp, epilator, multiple disposal containers, a friend to model, etc etc. Also they never sent any info aside from the exam date/location, and every number they have listed only led me to dead ends—out-of-service numbers or being on-hold for 30-minutes–plus. Finding the necessary info was so difficult.
