Help please! Laser on electrolysis scars?

Hello,
I hope i will get some help and advices…
I did Last month one session of electrolysis in France…
It was on my upper lip but I have Brown spots , Little reddish scars…And i treated it very intensely with creams…But it is still on my face After one month…
So i decided to tell my electrologyst about it and he told me to put vaseline on it 2 times a day and to come back , in the middle of January so he will make some… Vascular Laser and yag laser long pulse on my scars and spots :frowning:
I told him that my facial hairs grew because of laser so i had to do electrolysis , so it is not a good option. But he told me that hairs wont grow if he puts ice on my face so hairs wont be stimulated, his laser will just treat scars and Brown spots…
I AM very afraid… what CAN i do please??? Is he correct? Applying
Ice before laser stops the paradoxal hairs growth? he Also told me that it was little veins …
Thanks for your kind help and sorry for my english.

DO NOT DO THE LASER!!!

First off, those reddish spots are something called hyperpigmentation. They are a symptom of the skin healing and ALWAYS fade competely! The only thing a laser is going to accomplish is to possibly cause more hyperpigmentation to occur!

There is ZERO reason to do this. And dont sweat the reddish/brown spots they will go away with no trace.

Thank you so very much Seana , you just saved me !
So ,those scars will go away?
It is normal?

They are not scars. Yes hyperpigmentation goes away, always. It literally, is part of the healing process of the skin. You would do well to have a look at this series on youtube called “The healing skin” by Michael Bono.

I wont do laser , thanks for the instructive videos.

So should i continue electrolysis on those marks? Or will it be worse ? Will I get more hyperpigmentation ?
Thank you.

Yes, you can continue. When you are finished, you skin cells will turn over and new skin cells will take over. The hyperpigmentation will slowly resolve as new skin cells come to the surface and the old cells slough off.

Slowly means a few months. And Yes, new hyperpigmentation can occur.
And it will also fade away within a few months.

But please be aware that even new hairs breaking through the skin seem to able to cause hyperpigmentation: i have seen it in areas untouched by electrolysis (and not plucked…). Predominantly on the upper lip.

Another word to laser: laser treatments are clearly indicated to work on old scar tissue. Like with any other wound the healing process of the skin takes about 1 1/2 years - under cover, usually not noticeable for us. Any scar treatment must wait this time for the healing to settle.

Every attempt to do anything else on scars is an attempt to make money (in my eyes, and i do wear scars in my face.)
