Help needed with LUA for Radiancy LHE Skinstation

Can some one please give me some advice on this machine (Radiancy Skinstation)…How well does it work on hair removal. Is replacment of LUA’s expensive…I am buying this machine second hand from a salon after 3yrs of use, is it worth my money buying a second hand machine… What problems might i encounter??? HELP

Can you provide a list of specifications and any other useful information about this product for the techies among us (me, not included)?

Why is the salon selling it after three years?

Ok, here is the link to the munufacturers site
http://www.radiancy.com/int/skinstation.htm
which shows all the specifications for this laser. Hope this helps. This person is selling becuase they are upgrading to a new machine. They told me that there is at least more than 1000 shots left in each LUA bulb.

can u tell me if u have got this machine, i am also intrested in purchasing this SkinStation.
pls can any one give me more info
thanks

The next question is: are they upgrading because this machine is not strong enough for hair removal? If so, then why do you want it?

I will defer to the experts about the technical specifications (and thanks for providing that info), but I’m thinking you will go nowhere fast if it’s power capacity is only 3-10 joules. That’s not enough energy for hair removal.

this machine is not considered good. i believe it’s mostly marketed to spas where they are more worried about the cost of the machine and how many things it can perform at once, rather than results it produces in terms of laser hair removal. you can run a search here to see discussions on this.

if you’re planning to perform effective laser hair removal treatments, you need to buy a good laser hair removal system, even if it’s used. Alexandrite for light skin, Yag for dark skin, such as GentleLASE and GEntleYAG.

HI
ave been thinking of purchsing a Radiancy skin
station for hair removal.
i have read some bad press
about skinstation it is not powerfull enough.
(power capacity is only 3-10 joules. That’s not enough
energy for hair removal)
is this true?
i have seen a used unit and wanted to purchase skinstation for home use.and book my self in for training etc.
other alternative is go to salon.
i had a patch test with the ecolite v7.
i have tried reserching but can not find any custumer feed back etc.
this worrys me!
had a small patch test done on arm at salon with the ecolite v7.
can say i am happy with patch test.
4 weeks later some parts hair come back but others hardly any hair there.
please can some one give me advise.
i am female.asian skin
thank you

are you just pasting stuff without actually reading the above? 4 weeks is not enough to tell anything, including permanency. this machine is not powerful enough to produce any permanent hair removal results.

can you give me any advise about the ecolite v7
is this any machine any good ?

simple answer is no. please read the FAQs.

ok thanks

Hi,

I am new to the Forum and have been reading some in depth threads about electrolysis in the hope of moving on to ridding myself of the remaining facial hair not totally removed by the use of the Radiancy LHE Spa touch 2 machine. I am a woman who had quite a thick facial spread, dark pigmented facial hair.

My mother is a beauty therapist, trained in both Electrology and completed the Course on LHE prior to buying the Spa touch 2. The machine works on Light, Heat, energy and acts via photothermolysis to kill the follicle. It is similar to IPL.

It has successfully removed 65% of my problem. The good thing about it is you can cover a large area. It has been great on my chest area and effective on my brow and Bikini line.

I am at the point now where Electrolysis is the only sure fire way to remove the remainig hairs. LHE has been effective on my friend Louise’s facial hair too. LHE does work but it is not all the manufacturers claim, it takes repeated treatments. My mother has treated Men and women, trans, all, it does remove hair and I can vouch for that. It can cover large areas quickly, on the highest setting it can be a little painful but overrall it is pretty painless, just a blast of heat and flash of light.

The hairs fry and basically Bleach on the tips after a Zap, there is some redness to the skin but this dissapears after half an hour to an hour or so.

The new bulbs cost around £300.00 a time and will do 2,000 - 3,000 zaps. So some longevity there. The full specs of the machine are here: http://radiancy.com/en/products/aesthetic/spa-touch-ii.html

My mother is looking to sell her Machine as she no longer has the time to run her business. This is why I am looking at self Electrolysis to finish off my facial hair or when she comes to visit may be she will be kind enough to work on me. I cannot warrant the new bulb for the LHE to use on myself when really I just need finishing off. I would sooner put the money towards an Electrolysis unit.

I am looking at a Sterex SXB as they seem reasonably priced. If any one is interested in the LHE machine, with travel case, in excellent condition please let me know.

A big Hello

Tara
