Help me compare 2 electrologists

Hi all!

So my usual electrologist is away on vacation, so I went to a different one, who happens to also live closer to me… I would rather switch to the closer one, but can’t tell if she’s better or worst.

The 1st electrologist: I am definitely seeing results with her. The process is quite painful but tolerable, and I don’t have any scarring.

The 2nd one: I’ve onle been to her once. As she removed the hairs, I didn’t feel a THING. I kept asking her if she’s doing anything cuz I can’t feel it. And she kept comenting that I must have an incredibly high pain tolerance (which is true). In the end, my eyebrows were cleared, so she was in fact doing something… But maybe her settings were too low, in which case the clearing wouldn’t be permanent.

How do I tell which one is using the more effective method?

Electrologists with modern higher-end equipment and tools coupled with great skill, are able to administer treatment that is more comfortable so electrologist #2 might very well be among those.

Over the course of 20 years, I have kept up with newer and better equipment, buying new machines every three years and it is possible to have electrolysis become more comfortable when the practitioner keeps on top of the technology.

In case # 1 and case #2, do you feel sensations of hairs being tugged or tweezed? None of the time, some of the time, or not at all.

Is the speed at which they are working, comparable?

In either case, are you connected to an electrode?

I felt no tweezing with the 1st, and minimal (maybe once) tweezing with the 2nd. Their speeds were comprable, they both used thermolysis. Not sure what an electrode is… is it the metal rod you hold with blend-method?

Hi I’m Spanish soil and you always read a lot of your post, I have great help, but someone can guide me a bit with the parameters of the UC2-de Hinkel?. Thanks

I guess no one else has suggestions on picking out the better electrologist?

I would say that Arlene spoke for most of us when she said what she said.

There is nothing more to say but compare the rate of work done, and compare the condition of the skin in the hours and days after the treatments, and make your choice based on that.

You might also want to test some other practitioners as well.

In the end, the person to spend the bulk of your time (and money) with is the person who gets the most hairs done, with the least skin irritation, while still providing a good kill rate. Unfortunately, you won’t know much about kill rate until later. (unless you have ingrown hairs under scabs on every insertion, then you know that person needs to work on her/his technique)
