I just got the uniblend from electricspa. i started using the machine with some help. After the hairs were doen i started to feel my skin with bumps. the timer was on 4 and the other knob was on 5. I used the needdle 4. i was doing my sideburns. I need help on whta can be causing this reaction on my skin. Could it be that the nprobe didnt insert to he pupilla, or that the frecquency was to high or that i need to use a smaller needle. please help me on doing electrolysis well.
Those numbers are specific to your particular machine as there is no universal setting for anything other than pure galvanic and timing. The needle size is supposed to correlate to the diameter of your hair.
You indicated that the timer was on 4. What does that mean?
Does that mean 4 seconds? Does that mean 4/10ths of a second?
I don’t know of any school that actually trains students on your machine, as it is quite basic which means that you are limited in the range of timing and intensity and the way energy is released. Have you ever had a professional electrolysis treatment? Can you compare sensation? Are the hairs releasing with no resistance?
Did the manufacturer send you any video’s or training manuals?
Do you have any textbooks?
It is not unusual to experience swelling in the treatment area but there is no way to determine what normal tissue response is for you especially since you are working on yourself. I don’t think it is a good idea to work on ones’ own face.
Are there any electrology schools around where you can go for a short course?
Yes i meant 4 seconds. I need to know more information of what kind of ettings to use. and the elcetrycity on 5. I need to know if is more convenient to put a samller neddle or have the electricity nob turn down. Please give me the information that i need. It will mean a lot to me.
I take it that you are refering to the Autoblend Lite by UniProbe for your epilator. Hopefully it came with a manual. While they call it the autoblend lite, the information says that it is a Thermolysis Machine, which means to me that it is probably all Radio Frequency. The fact that it is timed in Seconds, kind of indicates that it is lower level Thermolysis.
I am just guessing but probably below 50 volts p-p RF levels max.
Insertions need to be more accurate than the blend modality requires, so I would really recommend getting and studying a good book on Thermolysis.
The probe should be about the same diameter as the hairs you wish to remove. Know what your depth of insertions need to be by finding a late stage anagen hair and using it as a guide.
-
Stop everything.
-
Buy books on electrolysis and read them.
-
Read the books again.
-
Don’t practice on visible areas until you know absolutely what you are doing.
-
Don’t work on your face until you know damn sure of what you are doing.

I’m worried.

Hi thank you to all who listen and responded to my post. I have to tell you that my face thanks to God and to a plant name SABILA is all clear and back to normal. At first i have worried that instead of having those bad hairs on my face i will have left all the scars of the bad electrolysis treatment. Finally i can tell you i bought books and got to use the machine properly.I am so glad that i am free of hairs and of the nasty scars i got earlyer. Any of you who have scars the perfect solution is to use the SABILA plant and use it on your scars. For me the scars lasted a week, so looking at it the plant work fenomenal. Any question you can find me at lory913@hotmail.com
Scars are usually the result of long term repeated overtreatment that may permanently affect the skin.
It would more accurate to refer to your post electrolysis skin manifestions as “temporary skin manifestations” because within a short time (one week), they resolve.
Electrolysis is described as a scarring proceedure enough already, when this is not the ususal outcome. Using words that correctly identify healing scenario would be very helpful.
Scabs are not the same as scars. Red dots do not mean scarring. Swelling does not equate to scarring. Scarsing is not what happened to you.
If you are not very, very careful, you could end up with scars on your face some where down the road. Go easy.
Instead of asking you questions per your personal e-mail, could you share it us more about the SABILLA plant? What is in the plant that heals the skin so well? Where is the origin of the plant? Where can you buy a plant or is there a product that contains sabila?
Dee
The sabila plant it helps to heal cicatrices. I am from Puerto Rico. Here you can buy this plant in the garden department of any sotre. I think in the US is call Aloe Vera. But i mean the plant, not the creams they sell in the store. I try it and leaves skin moist and clean.
The uses of aloe vera. It is astringent, analgesic, and anticoagulant. Also one has verified its benefits as stimulating of the cellular growth and turns out to be incredible antitoxic and a antimicrobial one.
The water dye or juice diluted to equal parts used several times in form of gárgaras of 3 to 4 minutes acts effectively against the dental pains, and of encías, neuralgias, aftas, laryngitis, crosstalk, tonsilitis, anginas, plates and any buccal or faríngea affection.

It regenerates the cells of the skin after the shaved one. After the shaving it avoids rojeces, eruptions, grains, and quickly closes expanded pores.
It heals the wound of the navel of the baby and the circuncisión.

It absorbs and it reduces the corporal scent, being an excellent deodorant.
If your mother-in-law eats the plant, will she become a nicer person???
We love aloe vera gel here on hairtell whether it be from a bottle or the plant itself. For electrolysis clients, it is recommended for aftercare during the day and tea tree oil is recommended for use at night. Tea tree oil is another nice product if it is used sparingly. Nothing fancy or mysterious about these products. They really do calm things down, along with witch hazel of course.
Great. Thanks for taking your time to post this information. I didn’t realize that the sabila plant was the same as the aloe vera plant. We appreciate posters like you lori.
