I don’t understand your statement, “I’ve done a total of 13 one hour sessions (weekly) and about 3 1/2 sessions.” Still, you have hit upon a few classic points that are recurring themes in electrology.
First theme: the "plucking thing.’ My colleagues here will explain this in lurid detail … and kudos to those that get into this important subject. (I can’t talk about it because my head will explode.)
And further, the emphasis on "going fast’ can be detrimental to treatment success. In my book there is no "going fast’ … there is ONLY removing hairs permanently. And, that means not focusing on how many hairs you can "get out per hour,’ but doing a proper job. You aren’t paying for "hairs yanked out per hour’ … you are paying for hairs properly treated. (This is a common error made by beginning electrologists.)
In all my classes, I would say, "Slow down … and GO FASTER!’ (People here will know what I mean.)
My next issue is the clients overwhelming fear of getting SCARS from electrology. Clients that repeatedly express this fear to their electrologist often end up getting insufficient treatment. Many electrologists are already fearful of their own procedure and injuring the client, and when you add in your own anxiety … well, you end up getting an expensive TWEEZE JOB!
Scarring from electrolysis is extremely rare, but you could be adding to treatment failure by repeatedly voicing your apprehension about SCARS.
