Hello

I purchased a wahl trimmer to trim my arm hair and legs. Will this look natural? And will it be unfomfortable? If it’s uncomfortable is there anything I can do about it?

I don’t want to be completely hairless but I want some hair.

please respond.

The bottom lines is: If it looks gud to U, than by all means do it the way U like it.

Usually hair that is cut and less than 6mm long will give you the stubs and may be uncomfortable.

Having done this at one time, I would agree. Get a good razor like the Venus or M3 Power and just shave it off. You will be glad you did. It looks better, makes muscles look bigger, and feels better.

If you trim it short, people will notice anyways, might as well be comfortable.

I’ll support the other guys. We all began with trimming, thinking it would be more “natural” looking and less noticeable. If you hold it to just some real “trimming”, you will be fine. If your trimming turns to “shaving”, such that the hairs are pretty short, you will be very uncomfortable, and feel stubbly all over. Plus, you will look shaved, so you may as well shave and have nice smooth skin. Plus its easier than trying to maintain and arbitrary, short length. There is nothing natural about 1/4" hair on your legs, you’d do better to have them nice, smooth and soft–plus, it will look ever so much better. Just my opinion, but I’ve been down the road. The razor you bought would be very useful, however, if you wish to trim your pubes and not shave them all the way down, which I actually prefer. And, lots of guys want their pit hair, so you can use the Wahl to trim them too. But for legs, I shave them with the latest Venus razor “power” razor (Vibrance), it is absolutely fantastic, a M3 Power designed for the body.

Well i like having a little hair so shaving it all is out of the question. If this doesn’t look right I’ll just use the wahl trimmer to give myself hair cuts.

anybody hear anything about the new body groomer made by Philips? do you know when if ever it will be released in the US? I wish there was a body groomer in the US.

Along the lines of what Veinlover said, if you do trim, it would be best not to trim shorter than 3/8 or 1/4" to minimize the stubbly look and feel. If your trim shorter, like I did, you will eventually wind up shaving them clean, which is what I was happiest with in the long run.

If you stay between 1/4 and 3/8" you may be satisfied with those results then.

Another thing you can do is get a few laser treatments, that will reduce but not elminate the hair totally.

Hi

The Body Groomer from Philishave will appear in the US shortly, even though it may market under a different name. In RSA where I live (mostly) Philishave devices are a market leader and hit the streets quickly. I have not got one yet because I’m in the US at the moment <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />, but you will find one in your store shortly I’m sure.

Thanks for the info. How did you find that out? I wonder how much it’s going to cost.

the real test will be my arms. i’m doing that tommorow.

Hi RJC

I log on to audio streaming via broadband to our local radio stations while I do a bit of work here. I heard it advertised after I read these posts. I don’t know the price yet however.

Norelco has a women’s version of the Bodygroom and it’s been here for a few months. It’s only $28 I believe. It looks like it has some potential. The Bodygroom looks larger like maybe it has a more powerful motor.
