I had electrolysis done on my buttocks and upper legs 1,5 months ago. I have ugly scarring and eye-catching red dots left all over. How long does it take to heal and is my skin reaction normal? Are there any good methods to fasten the healing process? (Would exfoliating do good?)
Are the red dots just on the follicles? This is quite normal for many people, on the body. They will fade away, it just requires time which is different for each person.
With scarring I meant scars - not epidermis but connective tissue instead.
The red dots are around the follicles, they are quite large on buttocks. Might the fading process take over a year? Now after 1,5 months I can’t see much difference compared to the next day after treatment…
I had the procedure done in one clinic which is the only one in my country. I had laser before but people who know better than I here in this forum about LHR told be not to keep on having laser procedures because my hair is too thick. Now after such a failure I don’t know what to do next.
And still: Are there any good methods to fasten the healing process? (Would exfoliating do good?)
Exfoliating would be helpful for cell turnover. They will fade. Some areas result in more down time than others. Could be your particular immune system or other factors. Give it more time.
