Has anyone used SopranoXL on back/shoulders?

I’m about to use the Soprano XL on my back and shoulders because the place I go to no longer uses their Alexandrite machine (which was wonderful by the way).
I’ve read on these forums that lack of shedding is a major problem with the Soprano. I’m really worried about that.
I really feels like changing to a place that has an alexandrite machine.

Short question: Why does this place not hace an alexandrite anymore??

Go with your gut instinct. If your skin and hair type are good candidates for Alexanderlite treatment, lasers such as the GentleLASE or Cynosure Elite will give you much better results than the Soprano XL will.

If you are not stuck in a contract, I would find another place with an alexandrite. We have yet to see any positive reports from anyone who’s used this machine.

I am also curious why they switched.

Also, don’t treat your upper arms unless you have dark DENSE COARSE hair there already. Otherwise, laser can make it worse on this area.

p.s. Cynosure alexandrite machines are called Apogee. Apogee Elite is one of the models which has both alex and Yag in one. There are other regular Apogee alex machines too.

They are no longer using their Alexandrite machines in order to cut costs (they are selling them). The company has been having huge financial problems (i wont get into all this now…).

But I know that Diode machines (like lighsheer) are a nightmare on my skin for various reasons and Soprano is a diode.

Is the gliding method used with the SopranoXL? (glides and pulse on the skin instead of “press and pick up”)? The gliding method causes so many missed spots…

That seems like a weird reason. Used alexandrite machines are not going to be more expensive than new Soprano machines.

Not sure if gliding is used with Soprano. Sorry.

Oh yeah, Cynosure machines are called Apogee. You want to check out which model it is as certain Cynosure Apogee have smaller spot sizes than others such as 12.5mm and so on.

The Apogee Elite has a 15mm and I believe there is another with a 16mm spot size.
