I just saw an infomercial on the product and I’m just wondering, has anyone tried it and does it work? I don’t fully trust infomercials, but it looks like something worth trying for this hair nightmare. Update: I still haven’t gotten the electrolysis nor the laser hair removal. Basically trying to save money and be careful about doing anything that could cause permanent damage to my sensitive skin.
Do we have to make a sticky about this scam?
Save your money for real permanent hair removal.
I don’t know how sensitive YOUR skin is, but mine turns bright red after simply wetting it with water. Most people can’t believe how tender and sensitive my skin is. I’m having electrolysis on my lips and chin, and the lack of serious swelling and inflammation has made me a “Hell yes!” flag-waver for electrolysis. If my skin isn’t reacting badly, nobody’s should.
Don’t waste your time even considering No No. It’s guaranteed to do nothing but lighten your wallet and frustrate you.
It would cause damage to your wallet, more so than to your skin
I saw the same infomercial. This is a weak device that will disappoint you. After using the device, one is made to feel better by exfoliating and then applying a hair inhibiting cream to the treated areas. This is not the way to remove hair in order to gain satisfaction. I’m glad you are being careful and putting much thought into selecting methods that are not gimmicky.
Thanks. I’m just still really apprehensive about getting electrolysis, even though it’s pretty much the best option for my dark skin. I finally had a consultation with an electrologist. She seems really good, but she basically told me that if she removed my facial hairs, I would need microdermabrasion to eliminate the appearance of scars. Is this typically the case? She might’ve said that because I already have some scarring from blemishes and shaving.
I’m afraid that removing my facial hair by electrolysis will worsen my appearance, as if I’ve noticeably had facial hair removal. This is why I thought the product might be good to try.
And James, thanks for sharing the links. I still can’t really base a review from that user whose name is NONO lol, but yeah, I’ll give it some time and see how that product pans out in reviews.
Caith, that is super sensitive. You should see a doctor about that. And I don’t see how electrolysis wouldn’t cause you discomfort when your skin is that sensitive.
I have an Irish heritage, pale skin and freckles. The first time I ever went for a facial, the person freaked out after misting my face with some deionized water. It’s a temporary thing and never causes problems. My point was to illustrate that in my case, thermolysis with an Apilus Senior II machine in the hands of an experienced and talented (and very caring!) electrologist has been very kind to my skin, despite how tender and sensitive it is. Acne has caused me worse and more lasting artifacts than anything the last month of electrolysis has done.
This is totally foreign to me. I treat dark skin and I do so almost on a daily basis. I don’t see the need for microdermabrasion after the hair is long gone due to electrolysis side effects. If anything needs to be done, then it is usually because of the temporary methods that were done prior to electrolysis that damaged the skin, with hyperpigmentation being the biggest culprit.
Likewise, my sensitive clients are those that usually have pale skin and reddish hair. I’d liked to know if any of my colleagues know of any studies as to why these charactaristics make clients like Caith more sensitive to sensation. Caith, glad you found a great electrolysis situation.
