Has anyone had work on 1-3 stray hairs done?

has anyone had work done on under 8 hairs? like strays. if so what were your results? how long did it take? how many treatments? how much money?

but most importantly the thing that makes me scared is that these 3 hairs will stimulate/promote further hair growth and ill have to keep going and going.

You cannot possibly know how long without a consultation, and depending on where you’re talking about (I am guessing your ears based on your other post) it’s likely that, though old hairs may be destroyed forever, new ones will pop up over the years that will need to be treated. As to money, electrologists charge usually anything from $40 to $100 dollars an hour, so there’s no way for us to give you a figure. Michael already answered your questions about “stimulating” new hair in your other post; it’s physically impossible for electrolysis to do that.

but what about how many treatments, would it take for the current 4-5 hairs?

Each hair should only have to be treated once, but I guarantee you, there are probably more than 4-5 hairs there. You can only really see the ones actively growing. You would need to pay at least 3 visits over 9-12 months to ensure that you get the hairs that aren’t currently visible.

Depending on modality and the electrologist, 4 - 5 hairs could be 1 - 15 minutes. Most electrologists will have minimum session times though, so be prepared to pay for at least 15 minutes.

have you been plucking these 3 hairs ? I have gone for 10 minute sessions for the last 14 months with excellent results but soon learned what I thought was 6 hairs only turned out to be more taking turns at popping up.
If you have hairs that you pluck and come back within 6 weeks they are no the same hairs fact. You would then have more than you believe you have.
If however you have never touched the hairs a day in your life then perhaps their may only be the amount you say.
Just making you aware of the situation better if you are a plucker like many of us were before going down this route.

I go to my electrolysis not to do my upper lip and she may get 1 or 2 stray ones from under chin but they are just long and blonde and no longer dark so happy with outcome best think you’ll ever do.

naw i never plucked/shaved/touched. if i was like 30-40 i wouldnt even care about them, but they piss me off because im only 22.

but when you guys say more than the amount of hairs i see do you mean the rest are under the skin?

They should be easy to die first time then if you’ve never touched them, I had a couple on my hand that died and never came back after one treatment. Get it done ASAP.
As for not bothering when your 30-40 I’m 31 and I can assure you regardless of age hairs will bother you.
Women do not give up on them selves just because they go up into the next age bracket.
To me its more important to keep up with my beauty routines salon appointments hair removal than it ever would have been in my 20’s.
My hairs only appeared after child birth and coming off the pill though so didn’t have the issue until late 20’s.

I would say if you go to someone who does it properly not plucking, it most definitely won’t stimulate more growth.

Fearnothing1 I can see you have posted on another thread about having ear hair larger than the 1-3 stray hairs listed on here and that you previously attempted plucking.

We can not help give you correct answers if you provide different information on different posts.

I would advise anyone never to pluck it will scar the face and stimulate more growth.

Its like plucking weeds out of a garden until you get the route and kill it you are just going to end up with a load more weeds.

Electrolysis kills the route plucking can’t.

uhm i want to wait until these get replaced before i do electrolysis, hairs go thru anagem.telogen, catagen or whatever, so should it fall out within next couple months and new 1 grow in? maybe something changes and it comes back blonde. so i prefer to wait a little.

and as a men ear hair is normal at age 40 so i wouldnt care alot my dad has hair on his lobe.

It probably didn’t just start when he was 40 though its a gradual process as your age.
Hair can be killed in any cycle by an electrolysis its false that they have to be in a certain cycle in order to be killed by electrolysis. You have no more chance of it dying by doing it now as you are in 2 months time.
