Has anyone experienced this before??

After my first lhr tx I noticed an increase of tiny purple thread veins on my legs, randomly. Literally the day of. I already have thread veins on my upper thighs to begin with but I definitely had an increase of them throughout my legs after tx. Is this a result of the heat from the laser? I’m going to get my second session next week and I have a good tech, I can tell that she’s very efficient so I do want to continue with treatments… I was wondering if this has ever happened to anyone, and if it’s just going to get worse?

You’ll be fine.

Post-op inflammation means blood vessels are carrying more blood and are therefore larger and more visible. If you do get actual telangiectasia (aka “thread veins”) from a procedure, the permanently dilated vessels will show up a year or so after the procedure.

I wouldn’t worry about it at all.

These thread veins are still visible and my last tx was 9 weeks ago. Do you think these are permanent or will disappear over time?

It takes a long time for healing/inflammation to resolve. However, to answer your question directly … I don’t know!
