Hairless like Powder

Powder the movie that is. Been thinking of going all the way. I’m male, so I guess it’ll be a bit harder. Wondering about head hair and eyelashes. My head hair is not going to fall out anytime soon.

I would caution using laser on the eyebrows or eyelashes or anything close to the eyes. Even head would be startling, in my humble perspective that is. If you haven’t thought that to be a wild idea by now, then I don’t know what else to say.

Somewhere (hairfacts maybe?) I read that laser doesn’t work that great on the scalp. The follicle depth is greater than that of other body parts and that could be an issue. If I remember I will ask my practitioner. If it did work there would be a lot of interest as most guys that shave their heads would like to get rid of that shadow, which is similar to a five o clock shadow on the beard.

Dont even think about laser on the eyebrows or eyelashes. I doubt you could find a practitioner to do it. It is considered very dangerous. I don’t know if you could have electrolysis done on the eyelashes, you probably could on your eyebrows though. Maybe James will chime in here and clarify whether electrolysis can be used on the eyelashes.

Regarding the head hair, where is the male pattern baldness when you need it? That would help you a little bit.

Agreed. No on both of those. During the laser treatments, you are required to wear goggles to protect your eyes from the laser rays. They can cause blindness. You will not find anyone to do your eyebrows or eyelashes for that reason.

Most also won’t do hair on your head. For the reasons mentioned above AND a possibility that you might want it back later.

Hey guys, sorry to be a nullo. There is an article on hairfacts about how laser/electrolysis is sometimes needed for ingrown eyelashes (that touch the eyeball). I presume the same method should work for the normal ones. Electrolysis should be ideal here since there are few and discrete lashes.

Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation is NEVER used on eyebrows or god forbid eyelashes. An Electrologists with proper skill and equipment can do this, and some “Eye Doctors” have the equipment to do it as well.

I should also note, that even the movie Powder has the quote in it, “No wonder he can’t grow any hair; he is living electrolysis!”

I think this thread has been well answered on a variety of fronts by I have just one remaining question. Cybert, what is a “nullo?” <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

It is someone who posts something and doesn’t answer any of the replies. It is also a male who has all his male organs removed (I’ll be one soon).
