I have been using LHR for about 5 years. Success for the most part. Interesting, however, is the fact that my legs are not reacting the way other parts of my body have. I am a male and have had 5 treatment on full legs. My last treatment was seven months ago. The reduction I have seen during this time is slight. I have noticed that the hairs that have grown back are longer. They are not as thich but definately longer. Is this common? I have not experienced this any where else on my body. Thoughts?
What skin type are you and what laser are you being treated with? Do you know the settings used on your legs?
Yeah, settings and laser type as well as your skin type and hair color would help us get a sense of what’s happening. Can’t really hazard much of a guess without that info.
The laser used was an Alex. My skin is light and the hair dark and coarse. Don’t recall the settings. Have had success with the Alex on other parts of my body but for some reason even after 5 sessions the legs are not responding well. I thought it odd that the regrowing hair was longer than before. I was curious to learn if anyone else experienced this or knew why it is occuring.
I have not personally experienced longer hairs, sorry.
How far apart are the leg treatments? Legs have significantly longer hair cycles than the rest of your body and the treatments may need to be as many as 12 weeks apart (instead of the standard 6-8). If you have been having them sooner than that, you may not have very good results.
You’re not providing us with enough information. Legs are typically easy to treat if hair is coarse.
Can you post a photo? Can you call your clinic and ask for settings used, i.e. joules, spot size, and pulse width? Also, the name of the alex machine used.
Also, did you experience shedding. How far apart were the treatments spaced?
