Hair Laser Removal in London

Hi, guys!
I ve just had my first HLR yesterday. I got the full body treated. The practitioner was very nice and friendly I am definitely going back for a second session. She has a long experience and made me feel very comfortable. However, for being my fist time, a few things came to my concern.
I shaved my body prior the treatment, but there were some little short hair left unshaved here and there. I was expecting that she will use a razor to shave what was left on top of the skin before go over with the laser-but she didn’t.She said it’s ok.
She was starting with high settings for each area( which I don’t know)but cause it hurt , she put them down for me. Should I ask her to keep the settings high next time, no matter how much I scream?
During the treatment there was a lot of redness, and she said that means that the follicles have been affected by the laser.
Today is the first day after the treatment and I still can see some redness( which is normal) but also can see some white areas -does it mean that they have not been affected or that she wasn’t overlapping them properly?
She said that I need to go again in 6 weeks, but to me it seems too soon.Should I wait at least 8-10 weeks?
I am white male, 31 years old.
I got the full body treated.It took almost 3 hours{ my back doesn’t take much time, cause is not very hairy yet :)}
Skin type - 2-3
Laser- Cynosure laser Alexandrite. A new machine considering that clinic opened 6 months ago.

I will see whether all the hair will star shedding any time soon!
Tnx

The short hair may have added to pain. Def best to save short the night before. My understanding is that when hair is above skin, it sizzles, causing pain and reduces amount of energy hitting the root (so less effective).

Yeah, redness is ‘good’, I wouldn’t worry re patches at this stage. Will be more obvious if spots are missed after you finish shedding in a couple weeks ie the missed parts won’t shed and be lOng.

Hair grows at diff rates in diff areas. If I couldn’t split up body parts based on regrowth, then I’d probably go for around 10w in between each.

Tnx for the replay!
I will try to delay the next visit!
Can’t wait to see the result after the shedding!
