Hair growth inhibitors

Is there actually a product that works in minimizing the regrowth of hair? I’ve tried a few, but because they’re so expensive, I haven’t been able to use them long enough to know if they truly work in reducing (or completely eliminating) the amount of new growth.

I have a medical condition that causes blood clots, so I have to take a high dose of blood thinners. This prevents me from shaving. It also keeps me from waxing or sugaring, since pulling out the hair by the follicle results in tiny little bruises where each hair was pulled. The best product I’ve used has been Veet; it may or may not work more effectively than any of the others, but the application of the mousse seems to be much easier. I recently bought a tube of Veet lotion, but I haven’t tried it yet. Thankfully, the hair on my legs is blonde, but even if it doesn’t show, the “whiskers” on my legs are just annoying.

I’d love to find an affordable product that allows me to go longer between “doing” my legs, and if any of you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them. Thanks.

Hello,

I have been visiting a beauty forum for middle easterns, and reading a lot about hair removal and hair growth inhibitors. I read at that forum that many, many ladies are using olive oil to inhibit hair growth, according to them the hair takes longer time to grow out and it grows out finer.

This is how they use it (I have seen lots of positive feedback about that topic):

You wax or sugar you legs, and immediately apply olive oil on the area and leave it for a couple of hours, after that you can take a shower or wash your legs. They also recommend to use the olive oil once or twice daily for a week after waxing.

Give it a try, and I hope it will help <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
