Hair extraction

I have been going to an electrologist for about 3.5-4 months now who is using the blend method. I was wondering, when the hairs are extracted do they have to have the germ cells around the hair to have been properly treated? I have noticed some hairs removed look slightly singed (have a black ball at the end without the white germ cells). I know the blend method incorporates the use of lye to help kill the follicle so I wasn’t sure if maybe the follicle was still being treated effectively even if the germ cells aren’t coming out with it.

While I do feel I have seen improvement since I first began treatment 3.5 months ago, I was wondering how long it usually takes to see complete clearance of an area? The hair is relatively fine and averagely dense.

Those are not germination cells( stem cells) you see come out with the hair. Telogen stage hairs have a white bulb . the gelatin you see surrounding the bottom of the hair should come out intact, but dont sweat it if it doesnt unless this is on every hair. The hair should come out smoothly with no resistance however.

Complete clearance is an extreme goal of mine when a new client presents. Complete clearance of all BOTHERSOME, NOTICIBLE hairs is the goal, to be more specific.

How long it takes depends on how much hair you have, what modality the practitioner uses, how skilled and efficient the practitioner is at using that modality and your tolerance level, to name a few variables.

Give your practitioner time to clear an area, as she or he recommends. No tweezing or pulling the hair of any kind- EVER!

The first 4-6 months are the hardest, but stay with a consistent plan and you will see improvement. It does take any where from 12-18 months to “finish” the hair off and then you will need a few maintenance treatments over the years as NEW HAIR is stimulated during your life span.
