Hair everywhere =(

I was just wondering if electrolysis was possible to get rid of hair everywhere =( I’m working on my face, and seeing good results, but I really wanna do chest (including breasts), stomach, back and bum =$
am I aiming too high, or is this possible =( I would probably do clearance on these areas then just up keep, but would an electrologist actually work on these areas. I hope so=( any help or stories would be really nice =)

Thanks all!

It is certainly possible, yes! Some electrologists only want the small stuff and are intimidated by doing large areas, so you may have to get several consults to sort that out.

I strongly recommend finding a modern electrologist who has a good set up where she/he can work in a MicroFlash mode or PicoFlash mode. It is highly probable to “kill” hair using the different kinds flash thermolysis offered today. It is simply awesome. You, the client, wants the hair off asap and progress makes for compliancy. This is my strategy and it works very well.

If you lasing the hair is appropriate for the color and structure, try to get as much bulk off as possible and then refine any area with electrolysis. If you don’t want to do laser, then electrolysis can handle it all anyway.

I’ve been trying to find someone in Toronto that operates with PicoFlash, but it’s hard enough to find someone skilled that uses thermoylsis.
Does anyone have an recommendations?

Have you called any of these salons?

http://www.dectro.com/en/directory/apilus/ontario.php

Thanks anyways, but I’ve seen this site already, and unfortunately all those places are far from Toronto. I called the salon in Toronto listed on the site, and when I asked if they used the apilus machine, they’re like “um no, we don’t do electrolysis”… so not sure where this site got this information.

sigh guess my search continues…=(

Is coming across the border an option for you if your search goes nowhere?

So, the Dectro salon directory lists a practitioner that does not do electrolysis?

I would love to cross the boarder, if it wasn’t so pricy to do so. Converting to american money and also transportation is gonna kill me!
ya apparently they listed them and I called and their like :s we don’t do electrolysis…im like ok? lol

I need to find some files. I will make an effort to look up some information I had about Toronto practitioners from a while back.

Ohhh thank you so much!!! I appreciate it a lot!! =D

Megabus from Toronto to Buffalo can be as cheap as $1 on some days. Check their schedule online.

I have you seen this thread desperate?

Yes I have…and I’ve been to Bishops…she charges way too much and I was going for at least 3 months and noticed NO difference, hairs were still thick and dark =(

Bummer. Have you tried every electrologist in Toronto? If you have, then it’s probably time to expand outward to find others farther away.

Note: three months does not allow you to fairly size up the electrologist. Hair growth cycles can be vicious and it is not the fault of the electrologist or the client. We can only do so much as we hurry up and wait through hair growth cycles. I say that without knowing more specifics, but patience is needed as you already know because you have been with us here on hairtell for awhile. The first six months is the toughest and if your electrologist is punching away and getting clearances, that would be best.

Here’s a list of a bunch of people to call and at least find out the method they use and maybe get free consultations with a few promising ones: http://www.yelp.ca/search?find_desc=electrolysis&ns=1&find_loc=toronto&country=CA

I feel like I have been to every electrologist in toronto =( I know 3 months isn’t enough time to judge, but because i’ve been going to my current electrologist for less than that, and noticed a big difference from Bishops, I compare the two.
I guess I’m not really sure what to look for when doing treatments, like how do I know when it’s working or not? is 6 months enough time? how should the hairs look? how should the treatments feel? why do some electrologists zap the same hairs more than once?
sorry for all the q’s but that’s what runs through my mind…

thanks for all the help tho! I’ll let you know when im finally done with this hair nonsense! =(

Hi all
I am new member here and i am here to make some new and interesting friends.

Hi Desperate18!

3 months is a sufficient time in order that you verify good results. I would say more. This is sufficient time in order to Electrolysis liberates you of the hairs in a certain area. ]No matter what area is!

OCTOBER 2010 (BEFORE ELECTROLYSIS)

A FEW DAYS LATER…

FEBRUARY 2011 (BEFORE A SESSION)

A FEW MINUTES LATER…

AND ANOTHER [size:11pt]SUCCESS WRITTEN IN THE HISTORY BOOK OF ELECTROLOGY:

Josefa does great work, but not all electrologists are like Josefa. Many electrologists are not able to achieve such fast work, thus the reason I gave a longer window of time where you may feel like something good is truly happening. What you see above is excellent work, but we don’t know how much hair you have and we don’t know the skill level of any and all the electrologists you have been to.

You just need to feel like they’re making good insertions and that the hairs are coming out without resistance. It’s fine to have to zap some hairs a few times. Better than plucking them out of frustration. But if they do it on every hair, that’s an issue of skill.

I think it’s hard to judge things the way you’re trying to as the hair grows in phases. So the hair you see at 3 months is different hair from the hair you treated a month prior.

Thanks everyone!!! Ya she does good insertions I never feel the needle going in, or the hairs being plucked out, so I assume thats a good thing! =D
Im going weekly for an hour, sometimes 2 hours, but I don’t like going for 2 hours on my face because I feel like its too much for that area. But I wanna get this done quickly! I have a lot of little blonde hairs that I see in the sun when I look into the mirror…
will she be able to see these and treat them? or is it not possible?
