Had my first session - i have a question

So I am having the buttocks done and i had my first session 5 weeks ago and i’m going for my second this week.

None of the hair has grown back. I was so worried about some of the horror stories I have read. Can I assume that since my first session went perfectly and there’s barely any hair regrowth that I am going to have a very successful treatment going forward? or in other words, can i safely assume i won’t have hair stimulation growth or any of those negative side effects?

wasn’t sure if they could kick in at a later time in the treatment.

What laser is the technician using? Is it an IPL, ND-Yag, Alexandrite or something else?

What colour is your skin and what colour is your hair?

It’s honestly too early on to say.

I had laser hair removal done on my penis (there is hair growing up the shaft) using a Nd-Yag Laser and after one session the hair was removed amazingly. I would estimate 92% of it. I was hair free for 2 months already having had 2 full sessions done on my pubic region. I was so happy and amazed and wondered why I never went earlier. And just before my 3rd treatment the hairs began to grow back. Now I’ve had 6 treatments and the hairs still come back as if I didn’t have treatment done. I haven’t gone in 2 months and now I have much more than I originally started with. The laser was ineffective in removing my hairs and instead stimulated new growth. Now I am getting electrolysis to remove it.

She is using the Cynosure Elite MPX (not sure what kind that is?)
I’m fair with dark brown hair. I forget what type i was when i went for my consultation.

but ok that’s disappointing to hear your story :frowning: i guess all i can do is wait and see. i was really excited but i don’t want to get my hopes up.

Tyler12,
Are you using any numbing cream for electrolysis?

Elite MPX is top of the line true laser Alexandrite/ND Yag combo with 18mm spot size.

I have yet to treat the penis shaft as the first session I went to treat my arms and beard area but I will be applying Lidocaine cream for 2 hours just like I do for parts of my face.

But to be honest after having read many threads on here I see many people have gone without numbing cream so I think I’ll try that first so I don’t need to wait 2 hours for the cream to numb the area.

okay so that sounds good ! what do you think about my original post? there has been no hair growth since my first session which was 5 weeks ago. can i assume this will be a success or it is too early to tell?

it’s almost as if i’m tempted to stop now lol just because of how great the area looks. i would be happy if it just stayed the way it is now.

No, one treatment will not give you any results. Slow regrowth is normal because leg hair cycle is slowest compared to other body hairs. Leg hair cycles go 12-14 weeks. The only way to tell progress is at least 6 months after you finish all treatments. Stick to treatment plan for 5 treatments at least.
