Guidance on after care

Hello,

I have had three hours of electrolysis on my chest (including breasts).and I’ve had the spots and scabbing, this has stayed for nearly a month since the second session which two hours. I know this is an extremely sensitive area- it does get itchy and I feel there’s some pigmentation - the spots are still there .

I do however excercise a lot so do try to keep the area clean.

I recently started using my face wash on my chest along with some skin retextursiing serum. I tried retinol twice a week also just to keep the chest clean -(I do not use this product on my breasts).

I also use sunscreen and keep the chest covered all the time- are there any tips you can give me- I still need more clearance and will be going back for another two hours.

Do not use retinol cream or serums because they cause layers of skin to shed and your skin becomes more vulnerable and irritated during treatments. You may use this after you’re done with all your treatments.

For scabbing you can use tea tree oil as spot treatment but not a lot. Sunblock, moisturizer, keeping it clean with witch hazel in between treatments is fine.

Thank you. I have more pimples forming recently, I keep the area clean.

I think these are more where the hairs are starting to grow perhaps. I had an a fungal and was itchy so used daktarin as prescribed by my doctor.

That seems to have gone. The pimples are raised and show in the light. I also have lots of dots everywhere (tombstones).

Would you have any additional suggestins? I used soap but have stopped, I just take cool showers and use Aveeno

Hi Pkanji,

Immediately following treatment, I like to use an alcohol free witch hazel toner, my favorite brand is called Thayers. It is available as a toner and also as an astringent. I suggest that clients use this product morning and evening and even after going to the gym/exercise. I ask that clients use it after cleansing. The witch hazel balances the pH of the skin. The slightly acidic result protects the skin better. If you find an alcohol free witch hazel toner, and like the ingredients, try it and let us know if that makes a difference.

Thank you so much! Could I use this between all of my treatments? Also, would this eliminate in grown hairs in time?

I will find this!

You can use the alcohol free witch hazel toner between and after treatments. Since this is not an exfoliant it will not eliminate ingrown hairs. Electrolysis should eliminate the ingrown hairs.

Hi Puja,

Just wondering, are you getting electrolysis done in India?

Thank you so much everybody. I am waiting on thayers brand to be delivered to me . It’s expensive in the U.K.

I have some questions, I had three hours of a third session and don’t put anything on my chest really, just distilled witch hazel.

I noticed that I now have spots m, not acne, just small spots almost skin coloured- can anything be used to exfoliate the skin?
