27 Megahertz a revolutionary break-through in technology? Maybe it was — in 1975. Look at the last sentence in this Proteus ad for their “inexpensive unit.” Makes you think: "Hummmm … "

Can’t find this on the web. Just curious where the ad was. Do you think this is a viable machine or a web scam type product? Any idea what the price point is? Is it blend or just thermo? It would be nice to see some other companies use the 27 MHz, not because its “revolutionary” but because water is more absorptive at 27 MHz than 13.56 MHz. From an electronics point of view, there is no reason I know of that 27 should cost more than 13 except that because 13 is used a lot in semiconductor machines, there may be more (and less expensive) amplifier modules available.
Fast forward to 2005 and one gets an Apilus Platiunum or Pure 27 megahertz, which is nothing like this fancy One Touch. I doubt that this thing could kill man hair. No?
Looks like a toaster to me.
I am hoping that others begin using 27 mHz. The Fischer guys had a video out several years ago. It showed the action of 27 vs 13.5. I haven’t been able to find it in the last few years. I’m hoping they’ve decided to try it out. I believe they would come up with an epilator that would be less expensive than the one option we now have. I loved my Fischer CBX.
Good grief Barbara, was that you shooting a rifle on facebook!?
The neat thing is, perhaps competition will bring this about. I thought Silhouet Tone would have done some leap frogging, but they haven’t yet. I loved my VMC and still do, I still have it and will keep it for good measure.
