what is a good effective setting for a gentle yag laser on a skin thats type III, and dark hair… ? my side burns, acne prone
skin type III should be using GentleLASE. GentleYAG has 3 variables: spot size (max 18mm), joules (max 30 on 18mm and higher as you decrease the spot size), and pulse (5-100ms I believe). High spot size and joules, and lower pulse are most effective. You should be using something that is on the higher end and doesn’t burn your skin. Ask the clinic what they’re planning to use and then judge against max settings above.
