Good electrologist in Paris (France) ?

Hello everyone !

I live in Paris, France, where I have started electrolysis sessions at Institut Pyrène.
I am quite satisfied by this place, but I wonder if there are others electrologists in my area. Indeed, I am looking for someone who can work fast on vellus hair.

Thank you in advance !

Merci d’avance !

Please update us on the situation in Gay Paris!

When last I was there, the regulations were closing the doors to new practitioners starting the business, and later, I heard that those in the business were being driven out, as the rules had changed, such that only those working out of a doctor’s office were free from prosecution. What is the current state of affairs?

Hi, I live in Paris too
I did electrolysis 2 years ago at Institut pyrène and I would not advise it to you if you’re treating your face. Because they are not very experimented in Electrolysis and gave me some scars (hopefully I stopped at time).

When I met a person from this forum to continue my treatments, it was day and night as safety and efficacity were concerned.

If you’re not treating your face, i think you can continue and see. Good luck!

I don’t understand what is going on in France with electrolysis, but if I were you, I would go to Spain and see Josefa. It might be impossible to do business in France, due to too many onerous regulations, like James guessed above. Who could possibly start a busIness in that kind of environment? Just read that Hollande is proposing a tax on Google for any French media used in their search engine. REALLY! Another tax? I’m shocked! Give them all the sand in the world, and they will eventually run out of sand, too! Then, what will they tax?

With all this is speculation, I may be wrong. Can someone explain why there seems to be no electrologists in France? This subject comes up now and then and I’m curious to understand this.

Space3000; nice to meet you ! Concerning Institut Pyrene, I treated and still treat my face (vellus hair), and fortunately I do not have any scars.

The only issue for me is that I found them a bit slow, and when I see some photos here in this forum of areas completely cleared, it “depresses” me a little :frowning:

I am actually considering going until Malaga to see Josefa one day, but I guess she has a lot of demand…

Indeed, electrolysis in France is quite rare, dermatologists prefer doing Laser as it is faster and more profitable for them…

My understanding about France, is that you have to be either an MD or a dermatologist, to practice as an electrologist. A couple of years ago I treated a client who had had excellent treatment from a couple of Vietnamese Doctors in Paris…somewhere.

So, the totalitarian tip toe has arrived at doctors only for so called lawful electrolysis practice in France? No wonder I hear all the stories about secret practitioners who only take new clients by referral, and a secret knock at the door, and code word conversations for verification.

James W.Walker VII, if you heard about some secret places, I will be interested to investigate further  !

In Paris, there are only 2 electrolysis centers (electrolysis not practicised by a doctor). Dermatologists who are willing to practice it are very rare, and if they exist, you have to wait 3/4 months for an appointment that will last 15minutes… So frustrating :frowning:

By definition, I could not tell you about any secret Parisian Practice, for fear the Gestapo would bust down their doors and ruin it for everyone.

Well, I took a look at your website in your signature and saw the work you’ve done…that is absolutely impressing ! No one here in Paris could do the same…
Do you plan to travel here someday ?

Thank You For Your Kind Words.

You missed James’ Excellent Parisian Adventure.

I don’t have any pending plans for a return visit, but it sure would be nice to get some more time in that fine land of smiling faces. Of course, it would only be to meet up with old friends, and make new ones.

Hi dailym, I have details of someone in Paris though not sure about their reputation Kaffe Mireillet, Goussainville. tel 0033617729396 sylmix28@hotmail.com. May be worth having a chat to them.

Thanks mhawkes for the information, I will contact this person. I saw that she is using an Apilus, so I hope she will be experimented !

Does someone know if Josefa in Malaga has an email or a website ? I would like to contact her as I am really thinking about visiting her in Spain…

If you go to Josefa’s profile you will find her email, also you will be able to PM

If you are looking to go to Spain, we have two options for you.

I have had enough contact with these two fine ladies to be comfortable in giving them my highest recommendation:
